Iain Paton and Dr Denis Kalumba
New Professional Masters Degree in Geotechnical Engineering

Iain Paton recently made history as the first person to graduate from the newly introduced Professional Masters Degree in Geotechnical Engineering (MGeotech) programme.  Iain’s degree was awarded with distinction and his dissertation entitled An investigation into the geotechnical nature of aeolian coversands in the Knysna area of the Southern Cape.

Ben Biggs makes waves in Durban

A presentation at the Water Institution of South Africa 2016 Conference by Ben Biggs, an MSc student in the Urban Water Management Research Group, made quite an impression. An article on his presentation ‘A water supply from roads’ appeared in The Mercury.
